9. I Hate you Juliet or Listening to Your Heart

Review of I Hate you Juliet:

In this romantic kdrama we see the story of seven audiovisual media students, each one with a different specialization and from a different year, during the story we will see how 6 of them create strong ties in their friendships and discover how they finally become adults and personally notice the character of Goo na ra,

The kdrama also has events that lead it to become a comedy that you will surely enjoy. Overall this Kdrama has many twists in the story, but can be predictable. Thanks to the timeline that korean dramas give us, it is a short and fast paced kdrama for when you are uncertain about what to watch.

8. Bring It On, Ghost OR Hey Ghost, Let's Fight!

Synopsis of Hey ghost, lets fight!:

Park Bong-pal uses his ability to see ghosts to work as an exorcist, but winds up accepting wandering spirit Kim Hyun-ji as a roommate and ghost-fighting partner.

Review of Bring it on, ghost:

So in this kdrama we get all genres i.e thriller, horror and romance. Bong-pal is a college student with an ability to see ghosts and somehow he encounters Hyun-ji and together they go on saving the world (lol) and actually save some people.

Both of them become friends, roommates and ultimately lovers (woah). The most intense part was how Hyun-ji gets back to life and how later she goes to same college as Bong-pal just because they love each other. Anyway it's a highly recommended kdrama as we all somewhere wish that we could have these twists and turns in our college life like Bong-pal

Best part is we are get thriller and action. Ah! both of the main leads make a cute couple. They really do look lovely ghost-fighting partners.

7. My first first love season 1

Synopsis of my first first love season 1:

Due to various personal reasons, some of Yun Tae-o's friends move into his house, where they experience love, friendship and everything in between.

Review of my first first love season 1:

This is one of my personal favourites as I always enjoy housemate kdramas. (Will make a list of it soon). The main as well as side characters here are interesting and unique.

The cinematography and directing is also well done. 3 out of 5 friends are in college and the other two are navigating what they really want from life. Its short kdrama of 8 episodes.

6. My first first love season 2

Synopsis of my first first love season 2:

Picking up right after season 1 we see how the group reacts to the new couple and navigate through new obstacles together.

Review of my first first love season 2:

In this season; which according to me is better as there is a good amount of character development that all 5 of them go through. Eventually we get to see friends to lovers story line which is quite cute.

5. My ID is Gangnam Beauty:

Synopsis of My ID is gangnam beauty:

A decision to undergo cosmetic surgery to avoid ridicule backfires on a self-conscious college student when bullies find new ways to make fun of her appearance, but a new friendship with a classmate may help her gain the confidence she needs.

Review of My ID is gangnam beauty:

Many people get bullied for various reasons be it their face or body structure.
To avoid body shaming people undergo strict diets and for face people decide to go to the deadliest procedure i.e cosmetic surgery.

Against their own wish they go under knives and needles just to make themselves acceptable to others. The story of Kang Mi-rae is like that; she too to avoid bullying and harassment decides to go for cosmetic surgery. But alas! she ended up getting ridiculed because she did surgery.

Here comes Do Kyung-seo who with his friendship and love helps her to heal and gain the self confidence that she did not have for a long time. This kdrama tells us love everyone as they are and also always love yourself. If you are loosing confidence make a friend who will always encourage you. We need to love ourselves always so that we can love others too.

Lastly, stand up for yourself because you might not get a friend like Do Kyung-seo who will be there for you. Bullying is the worst because you may never know what the person is going through. Be there for each other and love everyone by accepting their true beauty.

4. Hello My twenties OR Age of Youth

Synopsis of Hello my twenties season 1:

Five female housemates that are college students meet and live together on rent. They're strangers at first but they are able to bond and connect over the traumas they experienced while growing up. Together they juggle the perils of adult life.

Review of Age of Youth:

One of the most underrated kdramas that I've watched.

An all female cast living together and working while studying and discovering new relationships is the story of this kdrama.

The 5 of them have different personalities and each of them have a past that they've never let anyone know about.

.

3. Hello my twenties season 2:

Synopsis of Hello my twenties season 2:

Picking up 1year after season 1 we find out more about the girls. As Yi-naa leaves the girls find a new housemate who has her own secret reason for choosing to live there.

Review of Hello my twenties season 2:

In the second season along with a new housemate, another new character is the landlords nephew. In this season though not explicitly stated we see same sex attraction being portrayed. Its unrequited but its handled well.

2. Weight lifting fairy Kim Bok-joo:

Synopsis of weight lifting fairy Kim Bok-joo:

A coming-of-age story about a group of college athletes who are fighting for their dreams, experiencing and finding love in the process.

Review of weight lifting fairy Kim Bok-joo:

This kdrama is quite popular and liked by all. The story is simple yet potrays various topics like family issues, eating disorders, how the society expects women to look like etc.

The cast is loveable and charming. Would highly recommend this kdrama.

1. Cheese in the trap

Synopsis of Cheese in the trap:

A college student Hong Seol balances her studies and a part-time job while being in a relationship with an insecure man who manipulates others.

Review of Cheese in the trap:

This is by far my most favourite kdrama and depicts college life thoroughly. The cast does an excellent job in bringing life to their characters.

Each episode is filled with new topics and there isn't one dull moment. Alot of people had second lead syndrome in this kdrama and I'm not surprised as Baek In-ho played by Seo kang-joon was intriguing and had good character development.

These are some of the best college life kdramas. We will be posting a list of kdramas based on school life soon.
